Ruffled Cardigan

Ruffled Cardigan

Here's a really crappy photo of my latest project, a hemp/bamboo ruffled cardigan:

I'm a little disappointed by the second row of ruffles I did. It didn't turn out as ruffle-y as I wanted (unlike the first one) and it somehow ended up shorter than the other one. Not sure how that happened. Maybe I'll fix it eventually, but I am no longer in the mood to mess with it. At least with a belt, I don't think it really matters too much, and I don't know that too many people will actually pay attention to the one side being not as good as the other. Considering I never made ruffles before, I guess it's not that bad, eh?

... I think I need reassurance it doesn't suck.

EDIT: So, it's been about ~12 hours later, and I've decided to fix it. I am going to rip out the crappy ruffled side, and maybe make both sides have ruffles all the way down to the bottom, rather than just to the waist. I'd much rather wear something I am proud of, than something I can just live with!

So, it is time for a date with my seam ripper and a boatload of old House episodes.

EDIT 2: Ruffles are sufficient. It could stand being taken in at the shoulders, but that can wait for another day.
