ROMNEY WINS IOWA; BACHMANN DROPS OUT

Unsurprisingly, Mitt Romney won the Iowa GOP Caucus, though only by 8 votes.  Santorum somehow made it to second place, with Ron Paul right behind him. Bachmann, who came in last with a whopping 5% of the vote, is dropping out of the presidential race. Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich didn't do a whole lot better than Bachmann.

Don't take Romney's winning as a sign that there is strong support for the man. He got only 24.5% of the vote, which is the "lowest percentage total of any GOP winner in Iowa's modern history, sinking below Bob Dole's 26 percent in 1996."

I'm going to guess Romney gets the GOP nod eventually, and after that, Obama is re-elected.
