I CAN GO PLACES AGAIN
Now that we've finally moved (there will be photos once it's cleaned up a bit more) I can actually get to places without needing my husband / a car. It's so awesome. I just walked into town to pick up a couple of things (total round trip: about a mile) and it is about 30 degrees out. I'd say I over-dressed for the walk, as I was sweating by the time I walked a few blocks. I had pulled on wool tights, a wool skirt, lambswool gloves, a hat, my down jacket, and these enormous winter boots that are rated for something like -50 degrees. (After three years, I finally busted my cute winter boots. Since I do have a pair of super-functional, but slightly ugly, boots still, I won't be bothering with getting another cute pair of winter boots until next year.) There were a fair number of people out walking, which was somewhat surprising, though I don't know why.
I can't wait until spring, when I can work in my garden and wander into town to get a strawberry smoothie or pick up groceries or just watch the ducks at the river.
I'm trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it's the
blog. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
in delicious. And naturally, thanks on your effort!
