Last night, I dragged out my purple hemp jersey with the intention of making a dress like the one below:

I wanted to make C, but with the 3/4 sleeves of D. Here's what I ended up with:

Yeah, a sleeveless cowl dress.

While cutting out the pattern for the front of the dress, I accidentally forgot to cut away part of the pattern, and as a result, when I cut the fabric out, it was about an inch or two bigger in the middle than I meant. Rather than slice it and try again (or cut more fabric), I decided to just roll with it. I also decided to eschew sleeves. It'll be great in hot weather, or under a shrug/cardigan.

I just have a little bit of hemming to do, then all done! And, it turns out, there's enough fabric left over to make a dress like I had originally planned.
