my middle name is phoenix, like the bird. i don't use my first name - that name comes from a soap opera character.

i was born in september of 1984. i like birthday presents.  please?

i'm obsessive, depressive, and a former self-injurer. fittingly, i am also an english major and a wannabe poet.

i'm short, pale, and a former computer science major. also, a virgo, a rat, and isfj. vegetarian for 10 years. i lack social graces.

i'm polite, naive, and horribly opinionated; when i start ranting, it's hard to stop.

politically, i am currently a member of the green party (and very liberal). i am pro-choice, for gay marriage, and against the war on the drugs. i believe most drugs and prostitution should be legalized. i also feel that polygamy should be legalized: as people can love more than one person at a time and if they desire, those loves should be legalized.

i'm a bad feminist.  and a hippie.

after spending 22 years in various small towns in minnesota, i now reside in portland with my two cats and fiancé.

when it comes to religion, i identify as agnostic, though i do have definite undertones of paganism in my beliefs.

i believe in trying to live a healthy and sustainable existance. when it comes to food, i prefer it be organic and local, which is why i love farmer's markets. when it comes to non-food items, i prefer local, but if that is not an option, i prefer to purchase from small business owners. i buy my clothes off of ebay.

speaking of food, my cats eat raw. i strongly believe it is the best possible food for them.

i love body modification, and currently have five tattoos and five piercings. i want more. currently i have: (tattoos) pawprint, mbt lyric, infinity symbol, ankh, stargazer lilies.  (piercings) 6g lobes, nostril, navel, helix, vch.
i love unnatural hair colors, too, but i'm waiting to dye mine again until after the wedding.

i don't drive. i have my license, but it scares me - and i tend to faint at random, so it's not a safe thing for me to do anyway.

i don't like homophobes, conservatives, milk, socks, the current president and his policies, factory farms, pro-lifers, most diamonds, fundamentalists, the american educational system, censorship and plagarists. oh, and anything "family friendly."

i love abandoned buildings, sexology, poetry/writing, motorcycling, the sims2, reading, bare feet, hoodies and trench coats, scars, bad erotica, bad porn, scarves, web design, irc, corsets, and swinging in the park at midnight. rainy days make me happy, as do scented candles, flowers, my little pony, almost all animals (including stuffed ones!), theology, and mythology. i also like serial killers, john waters, and poison.

oh, and i'm fascinated by 1950's housewives/american gender roles in the 1950s. the girl over yonder may have given you a clue (she's from a 1955 ad for swimsuits).

i don't actually watch tv (mine is not hooked up), but i do watch tv shows and movies on the computer. i am a fan of:
